A Well-Seasoned Mind- Spices that are Good for your BRAIN!

Research shows that 5 Spices are good for your brain:  Trying adding them to you diet and test it yourself. 

1) Tumeric- A University of California study showed that the active ingredient in tumeric can help break up brain plaques of amyloid beta, the abnormal protein buildup that is a hallmark of Alzheimer's.

2) Garlic- Mostly known for it heart healthy benefit, but it may also help the body fight brain caner.  A 2007 study in the journal Cancer noted that garlic compounds eliminated brain cancer cells.

3) Ginger- A recent study by Roger Cady, M.D, Headache Care Center in Springfield, Missouri  found that migraine-prone patients with mild headaches who were treated with a combination of ginger and feverfew,
48 % were pain free after two hours, and 34 %  of the patients, the pain stayed mild.

4) Saffron- University of Tehran study discovered that a dose of saffron twice a day can work as well as Prozac in helping with depression.

5)  Cinnamon- Cinnamon helps regulate bood sugar levels and this can help you stay focused.
